About Me
Hi, I’m Martitia “Tish” Inman, and I’ve been a working fine artist my entire life.
For more than 40 years, I worked throughout the metropolitan region as a professional decorative painter, operating my Virginia-based company, Gotcha Covered, LLC, where I was known for highly customized, art-driven finishes and large-scale residential and commercial projects.
In 2016, I purchased a 4,200-square-foot historic building in Groveton, Texas and began transforming it into my home, studio, and art school, a living, working environment where art, architecture, and daily life intersect.
In 2019, I officially retired Gotcha Covered, LLC, though I still take on occasional projects, to return full-time to my first love, stained glass.
My current work focuses on creating one-of-a-kind stained glass fine art pieces that move beyond the traditional flat plane. I work dimensionally, layering glass, light, and structure to create pieces that are interactive, functional, and immersive.
This approach is the culmination of a path I began exploring in the 1980s, and it has evolved into a new body of work I call “E-Scapes”™, stained glass environments that expand perception, invite movement, and open new territory for the medium.
All of my work is created within what I call “Tisha-ny Style”™, a distinct artistic voice shaped by a hands-on approach to creating and a lifelong commitment to vision. Whether I am working in stained glass, decorative painting, fashion, gardening, cooking, or traveling, my hands are always involved in the process of creating, shaping, and transforming. Much like Tiffany became synonymous with a recognizable approach to glass, “Tisha-ny Style”™ reflects my own evolution of that lineage, informed by decades of craftsmanship, restoration, experimentation, and lived experience.
